New Inter House Programme
have introduced an ongoing Inter House competition
into our school timetable.
This takes place on:
Tuesdays – 8:00 to 8:45am (Secondary School)
Thursdays – 8:30 to 9:15am (Primary School)
The idea is that we will have different activities every week that all pupils can take part in. Some of these include football, volleyball, debating, dance, spelling bee and many more. This allows all of our pupils to win points for their house before we get to our final Inter House Sports Day. It also makes provision for those who are not athletes to get involved in other activities that they may be very good at throughout the session. The schedule and points standing can be seen posted around the school on the display boards
Christmas Concert 2013
Our Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons was held on the 11th of December 2013. All the pupils dressed up as different characters such as reindeer, shepherds, wise men and Father Christmas. We had a wonderful dance display and a short play reminding us about the true meaning of Christmas. It was also the proprietress’ birthday and she cut her cake with everyone born in December. It was truly spectacular day.

Well done, Childville teachers!
Independence Day Celebrations 2013
|| 2nd of October 2013
On Wednesday the 2nd of October2013 The Childville School celebrated Independence Day with an array of colourful traditional wear from different states.
We chose our Kings and Queens in each of our sections namely; Nursery, Junior Primary, Senior Primary and Secondary, who paraded their beautiful attire in front of a cheering crowd.
Each of them were asked questions regarding their knowledge of Nigeria and the children did really well in giving the correct answers.
We saw two presentations to finish off our day; one by our Primary School in the form of a dance about Nigeria and one by the Secondary School in which they spoke and sang about making Nigeria better.
It was a fantastic day that was enjoyed by all our pupils!
|| 22nd of June 2013
Our Year 6 Graduation Ceremony was held on Saturday 22 June at 10h00. The event was attended by all our Year 6 parents as well as invited guests. An inspiring message was delivered by Reverend Oyadotun after which the chairperson Mrs Ogunbiyi, the Head of Schools Mr Townsend, and our Proprietress Mrs. O.M. Smith, took to the stage to encourage the pupils to ascribe to excellence in all that they do and to think before they speak.
Some of our past pupils were present and we took the opportunity to hear from each one about what Childville did for them during their stay. They spoke to all present and thanked the school for giving them a solid grounding, which has allowed them to see success where they are schooling now.
Our Year 6 pupils were awarded their testimonials and gifts after which the audience were treated to a wonderful parting song presented by the Primary 6 Pupils, followed by the School Song bringing a fitting end to an auspicious occasion.
Visit to the Motherless Babies Home
11th of June 2013
The Childville Primary and Secondary School went to visit the Motherless Babies Home in Makoko on Tuesday the 11th of June 2013.
The school donated a number of items to the home that were generously given to us by our wonderful parents.
The children who stay in the home, were very excited to see us in their midst. Their matron took all our pupils to the dining hall where most of the children were during the visit.
Well done to all our pupils who donated, to the parents who gave so generously and to the children from our school who went along to the home along with our teachers to bring some joy into the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
